Tips on optimising for PDF export

      HI,

Does anybody have tips to ensure optimal quality in PDF slideshows. I find the colour tends to become over saturated and the resolution of some (but not all) images seems to deteriorate badly. None of this is apparent when I preview the slideshows, only after export. Image quality is important and I only use 100% quality on export. My files are all very large TIFFs as I output them as digital c-types of about 150cm wide. Should I make JPEG copies and resize them before producing a slideshow?

      Thanks

Whilst there certainly should be no quality loss on images exported as 100% to pdf, Lightroom does not seem to attach any profile to the jpgs now present in the pdf so how this will look will really be dependent on your monitor calibration when viewed in colour managed software rather than honouring a defined profile. You can open the pdf in PS and assign sRGB to all the images if you wish.
