The Thaana script is supported in Flash Player 10, but I do not know enough about Divehi to be able to test it well. All I know is that we require fonts that contain OpenType tables for the script - older TrueType fonts will not work. Could you point me to fonts that you use and sample text?

The problem you are seeing (are you using a Macintosh?) may be fixed in the newer version of the Player 10.1. There is a beta of 10.1 you can try out, at  http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/. Can you try it and see if you still have the problem entering text?

Thanks,

- robin

hello robin

thanx for thereply.

I have installed fp10.1 I still cannot type in Thaana with the demo http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/textlayout/demos/

In the demo under Advanced character I think Thaana should be listed. It s not there.

It still displays Thaana text properly.

any help in the right direction will be appreciated.

thanx
