1. Re: 720 30p and Blu-ray
Huntrex Jan 12, 2010 6:48 PM (in response to Jack Banatoni)If you're using Encore you can create a 720 project, import your videos and let Encore do the transcoding for you.

Jack Banatoni Jan 15, 2010 8:53 AM (in response to Huntrex)What frame rate would you recommend I choose, as 720 30p is not an option for Blu-ray? Thanks, JB

3. Re: 720 30p and Blu-ray
Huntrex Jan 16, 2010 11:38 AM (in response to Jack Banatoni)For a 1280 x 720 frame size you will need to choose between 23p or 60p in Encore. So you may need to convert to 23fps.
You will also need to choose a codec:
MPEG-2 is actually the same codec that is used on DVDs. It has fairly good compression and is compatible with all Blu-Ray players.
H.264 is a newer codec with greater compression and better quality at lower bitrates. It is compatible with all but the oldest Blu-Ray players.
