Not sure is this an Adobe problem or not.
When printing pdfs some text is replaced with little squares.
On the example I was shown the previous page was fine
then it started to replace text with squares.
Using Reader 6 and the printer is a Canon IR7086
It doesn't do it on all printing.
Has anyone come across this before?
For security reasons I can't attach the example.
have you tried reader 9.3?
Thank you for your reply.
Due to compatibility problems
I can't use any other version
other than version 6
I have verified this issue on Reader 8 and 9 (latest). Problem happens with text, images print fine. The issue in our office is specific to one workstation while printing to a specific printer. Printing to another printer by the same manufacturer, same PCL 6 driver does not produce the issue. (R) Trademark symbol prints fine within the text area and it appears apostrophes do as well.
Rebooted workstation reinstalled printer without success. Printing to PDF does not reproduce the issue.
Edit:
Particular to a specific user printing a specific document 2 other PDF's printed fine. I will now check to see if the issue is specific to this user and this workstation.
