1. Re: Blue-ray: Encore crashes in loading timeline
Giorgio1957 Jan 26, 2010 7:05 AM (in response to Giorgio1957)Opss,
forgot to say that film is 27Gb in blue-ray-mpeg and 19 Gb in blue-ray H264
Free disks space is 352Gb in data disk and 380 Gb in O.S. disk.
Disks are SATA.
Another strange "behaviour":
-just open a new project
-set it as mpeg2 blue-ray, PAL, 1440x1080, 25 fps, max bitrate 30Mbps, dolby.
-create a blank menu, "just to give something to the project"
-go to "build DVD" window
-disc is DVD and, if I try to change in Blue-ray, then puffff.... freeze!!!!!!!!
Second try:
-open new project as above
-load new file, shorter than the previous (1 min. 30 sec.) (edited with after effects)
-load stops at 47% (same % than the bigger one): pc completely frozen
Thanks again.

Giorgio1957 Jan 26, 2010 2:08 PM (in response to Ann Bens)Thanks Ann,
sorry, but are you sure that a Roxio update will fix an Adobe trouble?
I've not DVDIt at all.
If you're sure , I will.
Meanwhile I've uninstalled Encore and re-installed.
Then, just updating Encore to 4.01 I succeded in loading the small project (no crash or freeze).
But, after installed "Media Encoder and friends" updates, disappeared with the uninstallation, I wasn't able neither to open Encore: it got frozen instantly.
Please confirm that the link is the right one.
Thanks indeed.
P.S.: my previous project concerning Costa Rica is fantastic (do you remember?).
Ciao

Ann Bens Jan 26, 2010 2:44 PM (in response to Giorgio1957)Yes i am sure, even if you did not install Roxio software there is Roxio under the hood.
I had the same trouble. Frooze instantly on setting it to BluRay. The update which i found here on the forum fixes this problem.

5. Re: Blue-ray: Encore crashes in loading timeline
Giorgio1957 Jan 27, 2010 5:42 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Thanks Ann,
I would kiss you!!!!!!!
Encore looks working now.
After re-installation I was not able neither to run it.
Just a question:
Everything is imported now, and films are 1440x1080, mpeg2, 25fps, high resolution, as P.P. and A.E. standard settings.
I've tried to change default quality settings (in File window) but, after set my 1440x1080, 25 fps, high quality Blue-Ray Mpeg2 and clicked OK,
every setting come back in Adobe default ones 1280x720, 50 fps, High Quality Blue-Ray Mpeg2.
No way out.
Any more help? (and kisses of course )
Thanks indeed
Giorgio
