Robo8 refuses to compile some topics!
I'm doing standard stuff for a .chm but for some bizzare reason Robo8.0.2 will not inlcude a Topic or two in the .chm TOC pane. One evil clue. I duplicated/copied a topic, deleted the original, renamed the duplicate, now it is not included in the compile. Other New topics simply seem inviisble to the compiler! What gives here?
Topics are not appearing in the TOC. I DO find them when I Search. Haven't Indexed them thou. WEIRD eh? No odd topic names. Eg., "Rules Creation", and "Rules Management".

Hi there
Silly question here.
You DID add the topic to the TOC, no? Note that simply creating a topic doesn't automatically add it in the TOC structure.

Hello again
I'm thinking you are misunderstanding what I said. So I'll try again.
Say you create a project with 20 topics. You maybe use the feature of RoboHelp to automatically create a TOC. You later add two topics. Some folks think that because they used the automatic TOC process that they have triggered a setting whereby RoboHelp automagickally adds any new content to the TOC structure. But this isn't true. When you tell RoboHelp to automatically create a TOC, you are asking it to examine all the topics in your system and build a TOC based on what it finds. If you add more topics later, you need to ask it ti create the TOC again because the file structure has changed. It doesn't know anything about the added topics.
Hopefully that provides more insight on what happens with the TOC.
Cheers... Rick
