Our Middle-Eastern translator, who is using version 6, is having problems when she tries to search. Her question is:

"Can we search for Arabic text in the search or index fields of help created with RoboHelp or . . . are these functions not supported for Arabic?"

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Multi language support was introduced in RH7. See About RH7 on my site for the languages supported, it does not include Arabic or any right to left language.

I am generating WebHelps for Arabic and Hebrew on RH7 and Search seems to be working. Right To Left languages need some extra tweaks, compared with other languages. There's details on Peter's site and a thread here.

It also works in HTML help, but I compile those with Microsoft's HTML Help Workshop.
