Every time I create a new topic from the TOC, RH7 crashes when I try to save it. I thought this was an issue with 64-bit Vista so I now have a new machine (Dell Latitude D630, Vista Enterprise SP2) but the same problem happens. The error message is

Faulting application RoboHTML.exe, version 7.3.1.0, time stamp 0x496b5cd9, faulting module IMAGEAPI.dll, version 7.0.145.0, time stamp 0x46f5dc83, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00014c00, process id 0x14e4, application start time 0x01caa332e125ed58.

and the full log information is

All projects including the supplied samples or just your project?

Project local or on a network?

Looks like you have not applied the patches. I don't think they will fix this but they won't do any harm.

Hi Peter, thanks for your input.

I eventually found out what was causing this, but no idea why it should be an issue. The clue was in the error message: "...faulting module IMAGEAPI.dll..." - so I figured it was something to do with an image.

This wasn't happening on the sample projects only on the projects that I created myself. These projects all share a common property, and that is that  the topic template contains a placeholder graphic that will (in the individual topics) be a link to another topic. In order to make life easy for myself, I added the placeholder to the template and then attached a hyperlink to '#' to it. It was that that caused the problem - if I remove the dummy '#' from the picture the problem goes away.

It doesn't explain what the issue was, but it fixes it - even though I lose the convenience of having a ready-made hyperlink on all my new graphics.

Cheers

J.
