1. Re: Photoshop Cs4 Extended Starting/Loading Error
dec9 Feb 4, 2010 9:27 PM (in response to SEspider)Looks like a video card problem. Go to the video card website (manufacturers) and download the newest driver package for Windows 7. If all else fails you can turnoff opengl in photoshop.
Also if your videocard has a cooling fan ensure the fan is spinning freely. No wires rubbing it or dust bunnies clogging the cooling. Usually a video card that overheats causes lines and color looking errors. I have seen cards overheat and look like that too. But drivers are the main cause.

2. Re: Photoshop Cs4 Extended Starting/Loading Error
SEspider Feb 5, 2010 6:57 AM (in response to dec9)It's not the Video Card. It's fully updated, no dust, or wire issues.
It's not the drivers either. At least not from what I can tell. The Drivers have been updated fully.
Is there a way I can remove all of the Photoshop Drivers (without hurting other adobe programs) and start from scratch. Basically remove Photoshop fully from the hard drive. No other program on my computer does this. Not one. It must be a Photoshop issue.
Here's the weird thing. I've just created a portable version of the program and it works fine. It's the installed version that's acting up.
But nothing else works.
Before anyone ask, no I will not give you the portable version nor will I teach you how to make your programs portable. The portable version has my serial/activation info in it and I'm not able to give that out. Buy the program like we did. And making programs portable and/or sharing the knowledge is too risky. Tends to illegal downloads and crap. You wouldn't want it anyway. Only default programs/pugins work with it. So doing this actually limits the artist a lot.

SEspider Feb 5, 2010 1:48 PM (in response to dec9)Sorry. I never meant to give the impression you did.
I was informing others (viewing this thread) not to ask for it. Sorry for the confusion.
