Harm Millaard Feb 6, 2010 2:31 AM (in response to schlossd)No solution, but a remark. Drobo is nice for archival, not for editing because it is just too slow.

schlossd Feb 7, 2010 9:14 PM (in response to Harm Millaard)Yeah thanks Harm you are absolutely right. I have scrubbed the drobo for a raid 0 system that is on its way. I suspect this is also why I get a tremendous amount of data transfer errors via fire wire. Sony had no clue why this was happening and the result was red frames inserted in the video where the transfer drop offs happened. Now I will be transferring via component and suspect this will be resolved. Why can't drobo just fes-up that they are not good for HD video...WAIT it's all about sales and money...crap I'm still so young and ignorant!

Bill Hunt Mar 10, 2010 12:48 PM (in response to schlossd)Yes, I had looked at the Drobo, and decided that my existing externals would do everything that I needed. Thanks for the verification.
Good luck,
Hunt
