I interrupted the installation process for over 30 minutes. Now a message says: "E_ADEPT-REQUEST/EXPIRED http://adeactive.adobe.com/adept/Activate" and now installation is refused in spite of backtracking and re-installing Digital Editions. Help would be appreciated.

Most likely the clock on your computer is not correct. See http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403936.html for details.

Hi Jim

Many thanks for your help which was spot on. Blame a new laptop, new operating system and someone who mixes up the 12 hour clock with the 24 hour clock!
