Just completed converting to RoboHelp 8 and have loaded both patches.   Opened an existing project and wanted to get a report of the Table of Contents. Click on the "Tools" menu item.  No Report menu item.

It shows:

I did some looking around and all the help content says to go to Tools > Reports.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks.

Go back to the Customise dialog and select the Toolbars tab. Highlight Menu Bar and click the Reset there and see if that works.

That looks like the list when you first open RH without opening a project. Do you have a project open when you are looking at that menu?

With a project open, if Reports is still missing, right click the tool bar, select Customise > Options > Show Full Menus.

Thanks Peter.  I tried your suggestion and still have the problem.

I went to the menubar and right clicked, Clicked on "Customize", then "Options" I then checked "Always show full menus". I went ahead and clicked on the "Reset menu and toolbar usage data". The menu and toolbars now are expanded, but no reports.   I closed the project and RH8, reopened both, no reports.  I checked other projects, I have no reports options there either.

Hi there

I'm not sure what version you are upgrading from, but it's possible that you are just now seeing a change introduced with version 7. RoboHelp now "helpfully" hides things from you. If you look at the bottom of the menu, do you see a circle with two down arrows superimposed?

tmp1.png

If that's what you see, click the circle and the menu should expand and reveal the missing options. If this is the case and you don't like the behavior, you can turn it off.

The link below will allow you to watch a brief video showing you how to change this behavior.

Hopefully this helps... Rick
