read a pdf file

Hi,
After many test, I would like to know if it could be possible to read the content of a pdf file with coldfusion 8.

Process :

1) we put the pdf file on a directory
2) a function open each pdf file and register the content in a database (only the text of the pdf file)
3) ...

Thanks for your help, but your solution is not working well !
I didn't recover all the content of the pdf document.

Is there any solution to convert a pdf file to html.
