1. Re: No font properties for textbox
rlinsurf1 Feb 17, 2010 6:30 PM (in response to rlinsurf1)Ok. Forget the textbox. Can someone tell me how to properly add text so it can be edited as far as it's properties go? This is 9.1.3.

MichaelKazlow Feb 17, 2010 7:46 PM (in response to rlinsurf1)It is not exactly clear what you want to add or edit. Ideally, you should create a new pdf whenever you want to change its content. There is a touchup text tool. However, editing text for which you don't have the exact same font on your system is an iffy proposition and if you are not changing one or two then you can problem with how the text flows on the page. I've had to change text on a page and just editing one letter completely screwed up several lines of text.
For adding completely new text, there is the text box tool. Again this only allows limited formatting. If you really want to play with adding completely new text in a pdf file and need to worry about what font it is in, what style and size, you really need to consider recreating the pdf file from scratch. Acrobat is not a word processing program.

Phillip Jones Feb 18, 2010 4:50 AM (in response to MichaelKazlow)You forgot to tell him, where needed; you can open original document. make the changes, the save under a different name. Open PDF needed schanging and go to documents > choose replace pages. and click okay to replace. If your corrections didn't affect but the one page. otherwise choose all pages. This is especially helpful where you've created a Form.
