unable to download bought ebooks on iriver story

I'm unable  to download the  books i bou

ght on my iriver story. Free books are no problem . Do i need to get extra software? Who can help?

I have same problem.

Free ebooks from the Adobe sample library or one offered by Waterstones - great.  When I try to download anything I pay good money for I get a message saying "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed."  I'm not getting anywhere with the Adobe support team.

Please can anyone out there help?  I attach a screenshot in case it helps.

How are you doing it? You should first get the book to work on your PC using Digital Editions and then transfer it to other devices.

Adobe found a fix for me.  Are you running Windows XP?  If so, there is apparenty a bug that can be fixed with a

hotfix download.  Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893048 and you can download it.

It worked for me - I hope it does fopr you, too!
