1. Re: Not enough memory ?
Wade_Zimmerman Mar 5, 2010 2:08 PM (in response to on5lb)Let's try two things after trashing the setting folder.
one create a new document and place the image in that.
two create a new user and try logging into the new user and launching AI and open from there.

Skullmaker Mar 5, 2010 2:39 PM (in response to on5lb)Hello Jean,
I am glad that you not have CS4; because it comes with a nasty memory bug. Since we know Adobe does not care in fixing anything and just interested in selling you the next version. Few users have done what Adobe refuse to do (help its customers)
Since you are using CS3, here is a link with a solution that can work for you:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/1267833#1267833
I hope this helps!

on5lb Mar 6, 2010 5:53 AM (in response to Skullmaker)Hi Skullmaker,
Thanks for your link, but it's not working for me !
I receive the messge: " NO PROGRAM ASSOCIATED FOR THIS FILE " Great ! It's even not recognizing Photoshop !
I decided to check on another computer, which is still configured with Windows XP SP3 (and will be...!), with Illustrator CS2 installed.
No problems to open ANY *.psd file, so:
I finally consider to REINSTALL Windowxs XP, which will do the job as well, without problems !
Regards,
Jean

4. Re: Not enough memory ?
Wade_Zimmerman Mar 6, 2010 6:04 AM (in response to on5lb)It is good that Hans is telling you about a version of Illustrator that he has never actually tried
or used on his or anyone else's computer Mac or Windows. No one will let him use their
computer because he comes with critical bugs.I think CS4 will work better for your equipment just don't let Hans near it.
If you get a chance you might consider downloading the trial version and see if it works for you.

on5lb Mar 6, 2010 10:50 AM (in response to Wade_Zimmerman)Hello Wade,
I finally downloaded Illustrator CS4, and yes, i succeeded, no problems...so far
In fact, there must be some file into the Windows register which was reponsable, because i received a message about it.
Anyway, all Adobe app's are up to date, CS4, and they will be more compatible that way.
Thanks for your advice, and have a nice WE.
Jean
