Hi is there a simple way to just open a specific topic vir the URL rather than using the map ID #'s?

I just want to be able to do something like window.open("path/topic") but have it also keep the TOC and INDEX visible..

Thanks,

Al

This does work... but what I would really like is I could just pass in a topidID in the same .h file that the map IDs are in somehow instead of still needing to know the right path (if there are sub di

rectories to get to the correct topic page...

I found this link...

http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/calling_webhelp/using_topic_ids.htm

which comes a little bit closer to my solution however when the window pops up it is not pulling in my TOC, index, etc.. just the topic itself...

Anyone have luck with this option??

If the master page has been applied to the topic you are calling it should be displayed with it. As for the TOC and Index, this should be just a variable added to the API. Do you have the ",withnavpane=true" variable set?
