video setting question

Hi-

I built, embedded and published a .flv video with an alpha channel into one of my Captivate slideshows, works great except as soon as the video is done playing it completely disappears from my preso screen and background, which I have set to NOT fade out and stay on screen. So the movie plays, my background and supporting text is visible but when the movie is over the movie's content and the skin no longer appear.

Does anyone know which setting I need to make the video (or a frame in it) stay on the presentation screen and NOT disappear after it's done playing? This is even more important since I've removed the standard player controls for the entire presentation, made it a one slide presentation so that the only controls available to the user are the controls immediately under the movie.

Thanks in advance,

Rich

Hi Rich

I have a couple of thoughts.

1. Perhaps try enabling the Loop option.

*NOTE: This may also require a button or click box to keep the slide paused.

2. Inserting an image that is basically a screen capture of the video first or last frame to provide the illusion that the video is still present.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks Rick, I think the obvious thing to do here is to simply add an additional slide, it would solve a lot of minor irritations for me.
