Hi, my question is the following: I am trying to do a sim using captivate. If you record as a demo and a training sim and an assessment sim, you need to edit each object - so if you need to make the same changes to all 3 modes, do you need to repeat the same edits 3 times? I would really appreaciate some guidance on this matter. Thank you!
Hi Clara
Think of it this way. When you record in multiple modes, it's very much like holding as many as three or four camcorders over your shoulder and recording screen actions. Likewise, you create three or four different recordings. A change in one has no effect whatsoever in the others. So the answer is that you will need to edit each of them independently.

Rick,
Thank you so much for your prompt response!! So, I was wondering if there is a tricky way to record in more than one mode and if later there is a need to edit the output, convert those changes into the other modes without having to re-edit. Is there a way to convert demonstrations to simulations without having to re-record?
Thanks again!

Hi there
You can convert a Demonstration to a Simulation after the fact by removing the Demo bits and adding in the Simulation bits.
