Allowing end users to customize font/size/color etc.

I am VERY new to Live Cycle and hope I'm posting this question in the right location.  I have created a few PDF's where users can download cards and projects and custmize what they'd like the text to say.  I know there is a way to also allow the end users, by bringing up the Properties menu in Adobe Reader, to customize/change the font, color, and size.  What settings/script would I use to accomplish this?  Thanks in advance for any help!

I think you are referring to a rich text field. This type of field allows the user to enter information as well as indicate font, style, color etc ... for their input. This is only possible if the designer of the form allows it, otherwise they are only able to enter information in the font, style etc that the designer chose. The user woudl hit Ctrl-E to bring up the rich text menu and then they ghave the tools to affect the text.

Thanks Paul.  Right after I got this answer my computer crashed and am just getting back everything installed on it.  I will give this a try in the next day or two and see if this is in fact what I need although from your description it sounds like it may be!

Finally got LiveCycle working again and it worked!  I just had to change the box property from Plain Text only to Rich Text in the Object Field menu and it worked!  Thanks for your assistance!  I knew it was probably something simple but couldn't quite figure it out.
