I have collected a few old animations in an application. They are mostly classes wrapped in a mxml file. They use the Event.ENTER_FRAME and TimerEvent.TIMER events to run the scripted animations.
I use a tree to navigate the animations. Clicking a new animation node removes (removeAllElements) the current one from the vgroup container and loads a new one.
However, using tracing I find that all 'old' animations are happily continuing triggering events.
So my question is: Is there a neat trick to cancel all such events ? Trash the 'old' animations alltogether and start fresh with a new one ? Or do I have to somehow manually remove all event handlers ??
You will have to find a way to get the animation to remove its event
