AS3 swfs are playing erratically in Captivate 4, set for AS3. We outsourced the animations. Could the frame rate be set incorrectly? What is it supposed to be?  Other thoughts?

Thank you!

Hello,

Do not know if it is due to frame rate, this should show in an unusual speed of playing the AS3 SWF's. In CP4 by default it is 30fps. You can find and change it in the Preferences, Project, Publish settings.

If I change the framerate in Captivate will the rest of the project be ok? Should I ask the Flash developer to ensure the framerate is 30fps? The AS3 swfs are playing in an unusual way so I think this is the issue.

Thanks.

Hi Rita,

Not sure, depends on what is in the rest of the CP-project. If it is mostly individual slides with navigation by user, think there will not be much impact. The framerate is like the speed on a camera, if you change it and you have moving images result could be catastrophic, but individual slides normally do not have movements, they are like still images. Hope this make sense, think you'll really have to try out and watch the results.
