Hi there

Can you expound on your understanding of "Auto expand" and the behavior you are wanting?

If you are wanting a specific book opened when the help loads up, configure a topic inside the book as the Default Topic.

Cheers... Rick

I would like to display books under the root level automatically. I did find a workaround by just eliminating the root level.

I am also interested in this topic, only I want to enable the user

to expand or collapse all topics in the WebHelp TOC with one click. My workflow is FrameMaker -> Flare -> WebHelp.

Thanks for any pointers anyone can offer.

Hi Bernie

Are you posting this in the right forum? Framemaker > FLARE?

Assuming you misspoke and intended to type RoboHelp where you typed Flare, this simply has never been a feature of RoboHelp. Collapsing all open books might be possible by simply reloading the help. Expanding them all will not be possible.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks, Rick. No, you got me; I got to the article via googling, then logged into post, but didn't notice it was a Robohelp branch of the forum till just after I posted.

Sorry bout that; and thanks for taking the time to reply!

Has anyone found a solution to add a button or link so users can expand all/collapse all books in the TOC?

Sorry, I still have not figured this out. Hopefully if it is not possible in RH8 it is in the next version.

Not a RoboHelp 8 option so submit a feature request but do ask for it as an option.

The more people who request a feature, the more likely it is to be actioned. Please follow this link.

Hi folks

Expanding all would prove tricksy to accomplish. But collapsing all should be pretty simple to achieve. What you need in order to collapse all is a link that simply reloads WebHelp! When it reloads all the books should be collapsed.
