dragan.miletic Apr 30, 2010 2:46 PM (in response to sync2rhythm)Why is Production Premium larger than Master Collection?

vdoeditr Apr 30, 2010 2:57 PM (in response to sync2rhythm)HA! I just downloaded production premium, and after months of waiting to try native
AVCHD footage in this supposed spectacular new PPRO 64-bit environment, you can't! No support in the trial for anything really. DV.....ooooooo.....great!
Really not happy right now.

Harm Millaard Apr 30, 2010 3:11 PM (in response to vdoeditr)You should have read the website. It is clearly stated there is no MPEG support in the trial, as has been the case for ages.

6. Re: CS5 Trial(s) - File Size(s)
pmasters8941 May 1, 2010 10:41 AM (in response to dragan.miletic)I assume there is additional functional content that comes with Production Premium trial (like speech analysis languages, media content for Encore, Soundbooth, etc...) that would just make too large to include those along with the other apps in Master Collection. That is the only thing that makes sense to me.
I believe the box set includes 3 DVDs (apps), one resource DVD (tutorials), and one content DVD. Though I could be wrong.

hmmm... doesn't make sense to me. Are you saying that these things are NOT in the Master Collection?
This being the case, there is a 3GB difference so it logically should be that the Master Collection would be 10GB.... Production Premium +3GB.
Hopefully I'll have them on Monday as I left them downloading in the Bay at work.

12. Re: CS5 Trial(s) - File Size(s)
roberto75780gmailcom Oct 23, 2010 11:59 PM (in response to sync2rhythm)The answer is actually strait forward.
The downloads are available for individual languages, or as one download with all the available languages. The ones with all languages are significantly larger (sometimes more than double) the comparable one-language download.
Also, its worth mentioning that the regular English U.S. download is usually the smallest out of all the available individual language versions.
Unfortunately, navigating the Adobe website to find the exact language you want or the all languages packages for the program(s) of your choice is not strait forward at all.
I'm not even sure if the all languages option is available for CS5 Master Collection, but that was the only one available for CS4 Master Collection when I got it and it took way longer to download, and couldnt fit on one double layer DVD (after unpacking).
So basically, if you only need one language, try to find the download for only that language. Google it if you have to! It will save hours of downloading, plus make your setup files a much more manageable size.
Cheers,
Roberto.

1324ymaam Apr 5, 2011 11:46 PM (in response to shooternz)It only took 1 hr 40 mins to download Production Premium. I don't know why you're saying that it took 3h 15 min; that is VERY SLOW.
P.S. It is kinda better to just download Master Collection. It normally takes an hour to complete on ADSL 2+
