Ctrl/Command-T is the shortcut for the Character Panel in Illustrator. You're most likely thinking of Photoshop (Where Ctrl-T is transform).

Just hit f on the keyboard in Illustrator for the Free Transform Tool.

Thanks for the posts,

When i use the select tool and use it on an existing text by pressing ctrl+T i should get the handers like four nodes but i'm not getting but in another computer its fine.

Yes, Ctrl+T is for text editing but if you select the 'select tool' and you should get handers that be used to increase or decrease and to rotate the object, this is not happening.

And what is "Show Bounding Box" how to find out whether it disabled or not.

Thanks

You're in the Illustrator Forum. You're describing an operation that's true of Photoshop but not Illustrator. Did you mean to be here?

Ok, forget about Ctrl+T, when i select the 'select tool' and point over an object i'm not getting the handles why.

Here are two images, Graphic 1 shows no handles when using a select tool

graphic-1.jpg

Graphic 2 shows handles when using select tool(this is from another computer)Graphic-2.jpg

Now i you can tell why i'm not getting these handles in the graphic 1

Try hitting CammandH (or CtrlH on a PC) to toggle "Hide Frame Edges" on

and off. You can also access it under View>Show Frame Edges.
