1. Re: Saving project as JPEG loses adjustment layers
shoot me now-d3u3se May 19, 2010 11:15 AM (in response to Webshark2000)jpeg is not a format that recognizes or preserves layers. So, you need to save as a psd if you want layers as well as a smaller file size (compared to tiff).

My intention isn't to save the file with layers. The problem I'm having is that when it is saved as a JPEG file, the adjustments to the contrast, saturation, etc that should be applied to the photo from the adjustment layers isn't there.

Again, not trying to save it as a JPEG with layers. I know that JPEGs don't support layers.
I'm using CS3.

Yes, it looks fine in PS. It's only after it's been saved as a JPEG that it seems to lose the adjustments.

8. Re: Saving project as JPEG loses adjustment layers
shoot me now-d3u3se May 19, 2010 11:38 AM (in response to Webshark2000)Make a radical adjustment like adding a Hue/Saturation adj layer and pull the saturation all the way to -100 (or whatever).
Save as a jpeg and see if the adj. holds (should be a grayscale).
Also, are you saving using Save for Web or the Save As? Whichever it is, try the other.
Just shooting in the dark here...
