1. Re: Flash Player died in IE8
eidnolb onlyone May 21, 2010 1:13 PM (in response to rickg1949)Hi, Sometimes a major upgrade can cause a glitch in other programs. I'd check the Flash Player files @C:\Windows\sysWOW64\Macromed\Flash The IE files reveal the FP version number. You can post back all of the files listed, including the ones for FF(Firefox)
Also using IE, check in ALL add ons for Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control...Flash10e.ocx (vs 10.0.45.2) and make sure it is listed and Enabled. Now if there is a different version listed, just note what comes after the Flash.....
Keep in mind, you need to use the 32bit browser to use Flash Player. Adobe does not support playback in the 64bit.
Thanks,

2. Re: Flash Player died in IE8
pwillener May 21, 2010 7:04 PM (in response to rickg1949)CS5 most likely installed the 10.1 beta on your system. You can only uninstall it with the 10.1 uninstaller from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html; save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the uninstaller with the
-forceoption. -
