Mylenium May 25, 2010 7:08 AM (in response to harry teasley)Any known workarounds?
Paint in 2D. Most likely you are seeing some oddities with OpenGL. In the long run, start saving money and buy Mari or Mudbox for your 3D painting needs....

Chris Cox May 25, 2010 10:01 AM (in response to harry teasley)You could use projection painting for now.
Create a new layer above the 3D layer, paint on that, then merge down when you're done with that view (before you change the 3D view!).
What you're describing could be a bug in the 3D code, or could be a problem with your video card/driver.
Can you give us a sample file that shows the problem reliably?
And tell us your system configuration?

harry teasley May 25, 2010 2:04 PM (in response to Chris Cox)Chris, thanks, I'll see if that sorts me out. I'll put together the OBJ and textures I'm using
to send on.

MichaelWentworth-Bell Sep 21, 2010 3:36 AM (in response to harry teasley)I also suddenly have this problem. I am using an ATI Firepro V5800, and have had no problems with any of the painting tools when using 3D in photoshop. Now it is a real problem! For now the projection onto a new layer and merging down is helping a bit, but when i merge down the edges between the original and merged layer change...you can see a clear shift in the colour between the two.
Very annoying! Perhaps a bug that's come with a new update? My graphics card drivers are up to date, the same driver that i was using when clone stamp used to work!
