Edit Audio - Clipboard not working

Copied

I like to copy a period of recorded silence and use this rather than entering "pure" silence when a pause is required during audio edit.

Whilst I can copy to the clipboard OK at the start of the process, as soon as I run the audio in edit, the clipbaord icon turns grey and has lost the item that was there.

Any ideas please?

Doh!

I have tried this again, and found the clipboard was not "broken"...just appears a slightly different way when you use it.

As soon as you copy some audio, the clipboard appears activated (enabled), but as soon as you start the audio, the clipboard grey's out.

However when you stop the audio and click on an area, it appears enabled.
