1. Re: Why does my font color change when I add an image to InDesign?
P Spier May 27, 2010 12:02 PM (in response to WakeTabz)It sounds like there is transparency in the image and you have a mismatch on the transparency blend space, along withthe possibility that the type may be blow the image in the stack. Whenever possible, type should be at the top level to minimize interaction with transparency.

WakeTabz May 28, 2010 10:40 AM (in response to P Spier)Thank you for your help! It was as simple as flattening the object in Photoshop. Once I did that, my font went back to its original color!

3. Re: Why does my font color change when I add an image to InDesign?
Scott Falkner May 28, 2010 11:14 AM (in response to WakeTabz)Not a good idea. The flattened PSD has lost all its layers, adjustments, and effects. I hope you don’t need to edit it or change any layer’s visibility. Either that or you now have two files to keep track of and have neutered InDesign’s Edit Original feature. Better to take Peter’s advice and place the text above the image so it is not affected by transparency flattening. If you need the text below because you want the drop shadow to interact with the text, then use Overprint Preview (View menu) or Separations Preview (Window > Output) to get a more accurate view of the text colour.
