    Visible text only when clicked

    Lena P Community Member
I´m pretty new to Dreamweaver. Have almost only used Frontpage before, but have heard all good about Dreamweaver so I thought I have to buy it. It seems pretty powerful with all kinds of features and so far I´m satisfied.

But now of course I have ran in to a big problem. In Frontpage you could use iFrames that I understand is maybe not the best way. But I would like to use the "same" feature in Dreamweaver. I have a page with images and text. On this page I have elements on, lets say, the left side of the page, when being clicked, the text to the right of these elements should be different depending on what element you just clicked. Hope this makes sence to anyone that might be able to help me.

I guess this can be done without having to create one page per "new text"?

      Hoping for answers - Lena

Lena - be aware that DW is VERY VERY different than FP, and will expect you
to know a fair amount about HTML and CSS. Without this knowledge you will
find DW's learning curve to be very steep. With it, DW will be a walk in
the park, since you are already comfortable with looking at, and working
          with DW's Code view.

Creating a new page for each link is the proper way to do this. But in DW
you can use an IFrame just the same way you did in FP. To do that you would
use INSERT | HTML > Frames > IFrame. Be aware that DW's interface for
working further with IFrames is non-existent, so you are on your own for
attributes specific to the <iframe> tag. Fortunately, DW's Reference panel
for HTML can help you out there.
