I noticed some issues from people who had issues upgrading their catalogs to LR3 from LR2.x But are there any known issues with upgrading from LR3 beta to LR3 final?

7. Re: LR 3 serial number mishap
DVDmike Jun 8, 2010 2:47 PM (in response to namalzir)I went ahead and purchased LR3 as an upgrade from the Adobe Store.
I downloaded it and installed it. So far, my catalogs are all upgrading.
However, I have a nightmare with the serial number. No serial number was sent and it is not on the download page where it (apparently) should be. It says to contact Adobe support. OMG, the person that I am dealing with on this issue is clueless. After 5 minutes of going back and forth, she asks me what my problem is with my LR 2 (not 3) download. She didn;t even know that LR3 was shipping!
Later, she asks me to allow access for her to control my PC so that she can see what I am seeing. I am not going to let this person "drive" my PC! NO way. I tell her that I can easily send her a screen shot of their web page that says to "contact adobe support". But they are not allowed to accept e-mail, yet they want to controll my entier PC?
So then she figures out that you can create a support ticket and I can attach a file to it. So I do and after 5 minutes on hold she tells me that the serial number e-mail has not gone out to me yet. Like I told her at the beginning, I got an e-mail from adobe entitled 'your serial numbers' where in step 5 where it said to log into the download page to see your serial numbers. And this is where it says to "contact adobe". She said that you don't get your serial number e-mail for 24 to 48 hours after purchase. I asked her what the e-mail that was sent to me that said "serial number" in the subject line was for and why it said to "contact adobe support". "I don't know but you have not gotten your e-mail yet, it will come in 24-48 hours. If this were really true why didn't she tell me this right after I told her that I purchased the adobe product an hour earlier from the adobe store but was missing my serial number?
It is just maddening that a company like adobe has such poor service.
When I ordered my CS5 production suite upgrade, I got the download links and serial numbers within seconds of ordering. With lightroom I also got the download link within seconds but under serial number is says "contact adobe support". But yet my lightroom experience is "normal"?
Is this the same experience that others are getting with their US LR3 upgrade purchases?
