Druyan Byrne Jun 11, 2010 11:38 PM (in response to Studio North Films)Does the Grassvalley machine up-convert standard definition to 1080HD and 720HD during video capture, like the the Intensity does? I like that up-conversion during import-- I might get one of these myself...

Bill Hunt Jun 12, 2010 3:11 PM (in response to Studio North Films)It's been Grass Valley for sometime, but the Canopus name still seems to apply to the 110 and the 300 units. Not sure why, or if that is official. Still, almost every reseller still lists them as Canopus.

PS - I like the 300 with a Panny VHS/SVHS/DVD deck. I only use the DVD feature to archive clients' VHS tapes, or run poor compliance DVD-Videos through it to Capture, rather than rip. One has no device control that way, but with the mouse in one hand and the remote in the other, it is so very easy.
Good luck,
Hunt
