locking form in reader with digital sig

hello everyone,

currently I are using Adobe pro 8.0 with LiveCycle Designer 8.0. i created a form in LiveCycle with digital signatures that would lock the form after signing...but when i save as a PDF and extend to Adobe reader, the form will not lock after a digital signature is used. Most personnel utilize Adobe reader.  The form is not on a server. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to make sure that you create a field collection, and then assign the collection to a signature field with the "Lock Fields After Signing" option selected.  You create the field collection from the "Object" palette of the signature field.  See attached screen shot.
