2. Re: Moving footage from Source Monitor to timeline without the audio.
Blue_Devil1 Jun 20, 2010 9:13 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Thanks. Seems like this rules out keyboard shortcuts?
Any way to remove multiple audio clips in timeline without unlinking one at a time and deleting individual clips?

JSS1138 Jun 20, 2010 9:28 AM (in response to Blue_Devil1)If you untarget the audio track in the sequence, the keyboard shortcuts for Insert and Overlay will work on just the video portion of a clip.
To select only the Video or Audio portion of a clip without Unlinking them, hold down Alt during your selection.
This basic functionality is covered in the written documentation. It may not be a bad idea to start going through that.

Bill Hunt Jun 20, 2010 9:28 AM (in response to Blue_Devil1)What about just Targeting that Audio Track (maybe even Locking the Video), Selecting all and hitting Delete?
Just thinking here, and I might be all wrong.

No it does not. You can set your own keyboard shortcut to toggle audio tracks on or off. -

Blue_Devil1 Jun 20, 2010 6:17 PM (in response to Ann Bens)Thanks. You guys were very helpful.
Jim - That worked like a charm. Unfortunately, you couldn't restrain youself from implying I am lazy or stupid (or both). I guess at 70, I'll have to put up with that to get a good answer even though I don't like it.
Bill, your idea was great ie lock the video track and then select all the audio and delete it. Seemed to work nicely.
Thanks again,
John Rich

I did not realize that you are the "senior member" around these parts. I thought that I held that title!
Glad that you got it sorted,

shooternz Jun 20, 2010 6:57 PM (in response to Blue_Devil1)Another little tip John is to put the audio on an Audio Track and then turn it off.
That means the audiuo is sitting there if you ever have need for it. Its a bit of a hassle to get audio back once you delete it..

Bill Hunt Jun 20, 2010 7:06 PM (in response to shooternz)Craig,
Good tip. I often use Audio Mixer to Mute (or the Audio Track Mute), when I replace the muxed Audio - just in case. It IS hard to get back, so I leave it, but turn it OFF.
Thanks,
Hunt

Sorry Blue. Didn't mean to imply you were stupid.
