John Joslin Jun 28, 2010 11:27 PM (in response to Chris Cox)Your D90 needs a higher version of ACR than is compatible with CS2.
You need to upgrade Photoshop or use the free DNG converter to make the new NEF format readable in Photoshop CS2.

John Joslin Jun 29, 2010 1:15 AM (in response to John Joslin)It is not a bad idea to upgrade to CS5, because ACR 6.x (which comes with it) is vastly improved. In any case this will be the last chance to upgrade – next time around CS2 will be out of the upgrade path.
(And yes, you need more RAM – at least 2GB – and the Athlon may have problems with CS5. Maybe it's time to think about a new computer.)

Noel Carboni Jun 29, 2010 6:42 AM (in response to Gootguy1)Caution!
Before plunking down the $$$ for CS5, look for the several threads around here where people are discovering their older AMD processors are not compatible with Photoshop CS5!
For example: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/630771
I'm not familiar with the processors in the AMD lineup, but it's possible yours will not run Photoshop CS5 until such time as Adobe releases an update.
