Comb Field issues with Adobe Acrobat 7

Avatar

I built a form with ES and one field is a comb field with 7 spaces. When the form is opened in current versions of Reader it is filled in with no problem but many of our customers aren't current. When someone with Adobe Reader 7 opens the form it automatically enters a '0' in the last space in the comb.

Has anyone encountered this problem or have any idea what the issue could be and how it might be fixed?

Thank you.

I am not 100% sure but I do not think that XFA forms supported the comb in version 7. You may have to set the comb up under a different means rather than using the interface. Here is an example of how it was done before Designer officially supported it.

Thank you for your response but I can't open the attachment. I get this error message.

Its an xdp so you will have to open designer first then use the file open and locate the file. XDP extensions are also associated with Arobat (a

data file format) and that is what is generating the error.
