1. Re: How to set default view and commands
Bill@VT Jul 9, 2010 12:44 PM (in response to JGreg7)For your personal preferences, you set them under Edit>Preferences>Page Display. Be aware that if there are settings in the PDF, they will typically override your settings. Annoying at times, but a preference given to the author.

JGreg7 Jul 9, 2010 1:05 PM (in response to Bill@VT)Thank you for your response.
The settings you mentioned are the same ones I used to get the initial page display, however it does not seem to give me the scroll I want in all cases. Is there a way to override the settings in the document for viewing purposes?

3. Re: How to set default view and commands
Bill@VT Jul 9, 2010 1:36 PM (in response to JGreg7)You have to set them after the PDF is loaded. You may have to edit the document properties in some cases (use ctrl-D). The reason I say this is that it seems that using a link to another place in the document will reset the display properties based on the document. In that case you need to change the document properties (if available).

JGreg7 Jul 9, 2010 2:20 PM (in response to Bill@VT)Thank you for your help with this.
Although I can not fix the default view, changing the document properties at least allows me to regulate how it opens the next time. (Almost as good).
If anyone from Adobe reads this, a tip for the next version: Please include a setting that would include a forced default view.
