3. Re: CS5, 10.6.4, Nvidia 10.6.3 extensions, No Crash
Was DYP Jul 9, 2010 5:06 PM (in response to davisdont)No problem yet and I just got done working with 2 multilayered psd files with type layers. Really stable and snappy since the 10.6.3 extensions were put into 10.6.4.
Are you sure your problems are not font related. I don't why Apple keeps insisting on shipping and installing with every update, bad fonts. Maybe to make Adobe look bad?
I would strip every font out in the Library/Fonts and System/Library/Fonts folders that the OS will allow. That is what I always do after every OS update and I have had no trouble with CS4 either. Always clean font caches and reboot when you do this.

6. Re: CS5, 10.6.4, Nvidia 10.6.3 extensions, No Crash
Was DYP Jul 17, 2010 10:06 AM (in response to Andre Schneider)I keep disc image (dmg) backups of previous OS version partitions that I can mount and copy the extensions from. And that is what I did.
You do have to, or you should anyway boot from another partition to do the copying. You might be able copy to the partition you booted from but I have never tried that. I don't every do OS updates to the partition I am booted into either.

Andre Schneider Jul 17, 2010 10:23 AM (in response to Was DYP)Hi Doyle,
Do you have OpenGL available after you went back on your drivers? I tried downgrading the drivers on mine but now Photoshop doesn't see the OpenGL on my card.
Thanks in advance for the help!

davisdont Jul 17, 2010 11:59 AM (in response to Andre Schneider)try booting into safe mood (hold down shift while booting) it'll rebuild the kext cashe , reboot again normally and you should find stuff fixed and hopefully get open gl back
