2. Re: liquify mesh still does not work after 12.0.1 upgrade
sean-gloss Jul 19, 2010 4:07 PM (in response to Chris Cox)Hi Chris,
I tried to find it on the forums, but I couldn't. Perhaps its on the beta site. I am still having a problem with saving the mesh, even with 12.0.1. It takes a crazy amount of time (sometimes over 10 minutes) where it goes a factor of at least 10 faster in cs4.. I am using 10.6.3 (10.6.4 seems to be buggy in the video driver dept) with 32gb RAM allocated 70% to ps. The files aren't that big (6000 pixels wide). It is much faster if I mask it on a small part of the image, but forget about saving a mesh on a large area. It does seem, though, reapplying the mesh goes quite fast.
thanks,
sean

chazzcron Jul 20, 2010 6:03 AM (in response to sean-gloss)Sean,
I brought this up on another thread. They said they were unaware of the issue until it was mentioned on that thread. (not sure how that is possible)
and further stated that it would not be addressed in the update. And true to their word, it wasn't. If their past track record (few if any follow-up updates) holds true, it will likely not be fixed until CS6. I only use CS5 because it rarely crashes on me whereas CS4 dumped out 2-3 times daily. If you aren't crashing, I'd say stick to CS4. I strip out clothes regularly in my job. Don't you wish the option key would bring up the last mesh like most other filters do? If it did, I'd never have to save out a mesh to make changes to all those layer masks on my colorways.

4. Re: liquify mesh still does not work after 12.0.1 upgrade
Chris Cox Jul 20, 2010 11:01 AM (in response to chazzcron)It seems like it's not a full time bug - like something triggers a problem, or there is some other factor involved.
So yeah, we missed it in our testing.
And we didn't find out about it until we'd pretty much finalized the 12.0.1 fixes.
We're still investigating.

6. Re: liquify mesh still does not work after 12.0.1 upgrade
sean-gloss Aug 11, 2010 4:30 PM (in response to sean-gloss)this bug doesn't seem to be limited to my machine, as several of my colleagues are complaining as well. Not having a working mesh is HUGELY problematic for my work. I know the average photoshop user will never run up against this problem, but it is killing me. Photoshop overall is working so well on my machine until I hit the mesh, then its back to a g3 laptop speed. Gives me plenty of time to look for a solution.
