I am a new user to RoboHelp and have recently inherited a project form another person.

The project was created using RoboHelp 7 HTML

In this large help project there are over 700 images each named Image1, Image2, Imange3,.....Image700.

Now alot of these images needs to be edited, changed, or all together redone. Is there a way to do find for Image365 and replace it with an updated image called Img_BetterDescriptiveName?

Locate the image in Project Manager and press F2 to rename it. That changes it throughout the project.

The filename and project name will be highlighted but you only need type the new name. RH will automatically add the same extension.

Thank you very much, I was able to get the images altered, changed and renamed, thoughout the document.

Quick follow up question. It seems that some of the images were resized throughout the project.

For example they would of use an image within a sentance and then in the next sentance had the image increaed in size slightly for no apparent reason.

Is there a way to mass alter the size back to the defualt image size?

Not with RoboHelp 7.

See Item 8 at http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/scripts/scripts.htm for a method that would give you what you want if you had RoboHelp 8.

With RH7 your only option is to locate each image, right click and select Reset.

Hi folks

In addition to what my esteemed colleague Peter offered, you would probably be able to use a good Find and Replace tool to accomplish this by having the tool trawl through all the HTML pages and perform the deed.

ReplacEm or FAR wold probably work well for this.

I'd avoid using the Find and Replace tool included with RoboHelp.

Cheers... Rick
