John T Smith Jul 22, 2010 8:47 AM (in response to Studio North Films)Did you use the Search This Forum box to the right (on the main page) to read other discussions?
Such as this one http://forums.adobe.com/message/1812417 where file naming caused problems

Jon Geddes Jul 22, 2010 8:52 AM (in response to John T Smith)Your settings are set way too high. Bring down the target to 7 mbps with a max of 8 mbps. This will bring the data rate down to something that you will actually be able to play back on a burned disc.

5. Re: PGC DATA RATE CS5
Stan Jones Jul 22, 2010 10:16 AM (in response to Studio North Films)There were what I called "persistent" pgc errors in CS3 - meaning that even with good workflow, some users got pgc errors that could not be solved but, in most instances, could be worked around.
Such errors have not occurred in CS4 or CS5. A pgc error in CS4 or CS5 is usually more specific (the data rate message for example).
FYI, I got the pgc errors in CS3. I still have not upgraded my PC, but finally loaded CS4 to test an issue. No pgc error in a project that had one in CS3.
So I agree you should be looking for pgc errors only in CS4 or CS5, or that include the data rate message.
But Jon nailed this I suspect!
