Hi everybody,
I tried FlexPMD and I like it.
Therefore I wanted to create my custom ruleset with this tool:
http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/flexpmd/bin/flex-pmd-ruleset-creator.html
I changes some rules and export that xml.
In "Eclipse->Settings->FlexPMD->FlexPMD custom ruleset" I browse to that downloaded file.
Everytime I set a custom ruleset file FlexPMD does not find any errors, warnings or informations anymore.
I am using:
Eclipse
Version: 3.4.2
Build id: M20090211-1700
Flashbuilder 4
Version: 4.0
Build id: 272416
Any ideas why I cannot set up my custom ruleset?
Regards,
Jan

Hi,
Can you attach the exported ruleset, please?
That would help us a lot.

I can't reproduce on my machine with your custom ruleset. It works fine.
Does it behave the same way if you don't specify your custom ruleset?
Do you have anything in your Eclipse workspace log?

Hi Xavier,
I have tested it on two different machines same problem.
If I specify a custom ruleset, flexPMD shows no errors, warnings or infos in the flex pmd view.
If I don't specify a custom ruleset, flexPMD shows errors, warings or infos in the flex pmd view again.
The only erros/warnings I can see acording to flexPMG in the error logs are:
1.) Unable to create menu item "com.adobe.ac.pmd.eclipse.toolbar.runCommand", command "com.adobe.ac.pmd.eclipse.flexpmd.runCommand.category" not defined
2.) Cannot bind to an undefined command: plug-in='com.adobe.ac.pmd.eclipse', id='com.adobe.ac.pmd.eclipse.flexpmd.runCommand.category'
Eclipse Infos:
eclipse.buildId=M20090211-1700

java.vendor=Apple Inc.
BootLoader constants: OS=macosx, ARCH=x86, WS=carbon, NL=en_US

Unfortunately not,
but the last time I've tested it was with FlashBuilder 4. Maybe in the updated version of FlashBuilder 4.0.1 its fixed?
Here you can find the latest version of FlashBuilder: http://www.adobe.com/support/flex/downloads_updaters.html
Let me now, if you find something out.
Regards,
Jan
