4. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Jens Langen Jun 3, 2010 12:20 PM (in response to CE0)I was excited about CS5 until this scrolling issue which makes it unusable. Now it's back to CS4 until the speed is fixed...

5. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Chris Cox Jun 3, 2010 3:21 PM (in response to Jens Langen)The scrolling works fine with every device other than a "Mighty Mouse".
We already worked around a number of problems with the events from that device, but apparently we missed one.

6. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
3bells Jun 3, 2010 3:25 PM (in response to Chris Cox)Thanks so much for replying, Chris. I've just started using CS5 and only used CS4 for a couple of weeks. There are so many variables. and I don't think it's just Photoshop. I'm wondering if the same problems happen in windows 7 (I switched to the Mac the last time I bought a computer.) Probably it's just that everything gets more complicated along with the improvements. : -(
Thanks again,
Peggy

Jens Langen Jun 3, 2010 3:40 PM (in response to Chris Cox)The mouse I'm using is the corded white mouse with the little centered trackball. Not sure if that is a Mighty Mouse.

Joe Nuxoll (the real one) Jun 4, 2010 11:31 AM (in response to Jeffrey Tranberry)I'm the "Joe N" mentioned above... and I am *very* glad to hear that you're working on a fix for the scrolling issue. Thanks very much for listening to us, your customers. :-)
For the record, I LOVE CS5. Great work! This is the only gripe I have about it, and knowing that a fix should come (soonish), I am quite happy.

o.mcmanus Jun 22, 2010 12:00 PM (in response to CE0)The problem isn't just with external mice. My trackpad does it too. I hope you manage to fix it soon, this makes working with Photoshop almost impossible for me.

17. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
David Barron Jul 29, 2010 5:41 AM (in response to Matthias Rendl)I am still having an issue with the speed of the scrolling wiht the update.
It is in the Camera Raw window where I see the issue. Just started using the progrma, and it is a bit smoother after the update, but it is still way too slow. My system settings are the same as wehn i was using CS4 yesterday.

18. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Chris Cox Jul 29, 2010 10:39 AM (in response to David Barron)Have you installed the ACR 6.1 update? And if the problem is just with ACR, you probably need to post that in the ACR forum (where they'll see it a lot quicker).
-
19. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
David Barron Jul 29, 2010 11:03 AM (in response to Chris Cox)Not sure what ACR is. I have the latest updates from CS5 installed.
-
20. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Chris Cox Jul 29, 2010 11:21 AM (in response to David Barron)ACR == Adobe Camera Raw
The Photoshop update and the ACR updates are separate.

21. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
David Barron Jul 29, 2010 11:33 AM (in response to Chris Cox)I don't see ACR on my hard drive. When i check online, all links bring me to buying CS5 or Photoshop by itself. The update for CS5 were done, and I am using the Camera raw area of bridge. Still not sure where ACR is to even check what version I have if I have it.

22. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
David Barron Jul 29, 2010 12:47 PM (in response to Chris Cox)Ok I see the 6.1 camera raw listed at the top of camera raw. So it is 6.1 not sure why I am still having scrolling issues.
-
23. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Chris Cox Jul 29, 2010 4:47 PM (in response to David Barron)Me, either -- please post in the ACR forum so they can look into this (they don't read the main forums that often).

24. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Grant VK5GR Jul 31, 2010 7:13 AM (in response to Chris Cox)I have seen the same "slow scrolling" issue in Premiere Pro CS5 - has the fix mentioned above been incorporated for that system yet? (my system is running on Windows 7 x64 and is a Microsoft Comfort Optical 3000 wheel mouse - running Premiere Pro CS5 v 5.0.1)

25. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Chris Cox Jul 31, 2010 12:02 PM (in response to Grant VK5GR)I have seen the same "slow scrolling" issue in Premiere Pro CS5
This is the Photoshop forum.
If you have a problem with Premiere, you need to ask in the Premiere forum.
Photoshop and Premiere share very little code, so fixes to one probably won't help the other.

26. Re: Very slow scrolling with CS5
Ryan Beljan Oct 15, 2010 11:41 AM (in response to Chris Cox)I still have this problem when using the Lasso tool. Scrolling works fine when using the normal selection tool, but after I start my lasso outlining I cannot scroll anywhere. When I stop Lasso-ing, the computer automatically scrolls to make up for what it missed.
WHY WHY WHY??
