Hi,
I am trying to launch a Windows application from a chm file using the HTML Help control "Shortcut."
I can get the application to launch if the application and the chm reside in the same directory. If the appliation and the chm are not in the same directory, the application will not launch.
Does anyone have a workaround that will allow the app and the chm to reside in separate directories? Or maybe I am missing something in RoboHelp's help?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
I believe that as long as the application may be found in the supplied path it will launch. For example, you may plop a CHM in any folder on your system and click a Shortcut to open a Windows applet such as Calculator, Notepad, Wordpad, Character Map or others and they will work.
The trick is to either have the system configured so your desired app is in the system path somehow or to know the app is in a specific path and supply that instead.
Cheers... Rick
