    EDITING PDF FORM

    purple_am Community Member

      Hey Guys,

I designed a form in Illustrator CS4 exported it to PDF (smallest file size) and added form field option in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

      The form is working perfectly.

Now here is my issue the form is like 10 pages long and the client want to update some text and graphics.  When I open the PDF back in illustrator and update the graphics and do a save, I lose all the form fields.

Is it possible to keep the form fields after I edit with Illustrator.  This will save me long hours of creating the form fields again since the client is planning to update the form graphics and text quite often.

      Many thanks for helping.

          Yes, there is.

Do your corrections in Illustrator, create new pdf, then in your PDF Form, choose in the Menus at the top:  Document > Replace Pages... > Navigate to your newly re-created pdf and it will replace the "background" of your PDF Form, leaving the Fields intact.
