I have marked the slides to have "No Transition" in the properties panel but still they fade in and out. when I put a "Next" button on a slide it fades out and then shows the button.....AAAARRRRGGGGG! I am at my wits end trying to solve this. Please can anyone help?

Hi there

Slides normally have no transitions. Check the objects! Objects (Text Captions, Images, Buttons, etc.) normally are configured with fade in and fade out.

I have checked all the objects on all the slides (only have three at the moment) and the objects don’t fade. The actual slide does? So I can scrub the timeline with my mouse and see the slide fade to white?

I think I found it..........You were right when you said about objects.

What I did was.....Made the master slide (the objects had transitions) so that all the slides would then use their transitions! So thank you for that. When I edited the Master Slide objects, all was well again. Thank you for pointing that out.......Rich

Hi Rick,

Just made a new project and tried it with two slides without using the Master slide. So I coloured two slides just to see if they would fade between each other. Project faded in and then no fade between them and then the fade out? So do you think its to do with Master slides?

Well, you have to look in different places for transitions.

Slides can have them but you have to specifically configure them.

Objects have them by default (Fade in and fade out)

The project itself is usually configured with a "Fade in on first slide" and a "Fade out on last slide".

Click Edit > Preferences > Project > Start and End
