Is there a way to have the closed captioning automatically open when the project runs? I saw something saying to go to Properties then in actions select advanced actions then assign cpCmndCC with 1.
This has not worked.
Any other ideas?

Well, it should take an advanced action. Go to Project, Advanced Actions. Create an advanced action that looks something like this:
Then in the property inspector for slide 1, change the Action section to execute your advanced action, like this:
But, .....
When I tried this, my closed captioning opened as it should, but it was scrunched up on the bottom left instead of stretched across the bottom. It looked like this:
Has anybody else seen this strange behavior?

Hi there
Indeed this can be an issue. However, I posted a link in Susan's earlier post today that points to another thread where this was discussed and a workaround offered for it.

Sorry but I forgot to advise that you actually have to read through the thread and apply the actions described in order to make it work. It's a ways down in the thread.

Thanks Rick. Your workaround worked fine. I've been on vacation for a week ( in Alaska) and missed the earlier post.
And I'll submit a bug report also.
Thanks again.

I went back and reentered the advanced action for the assign cpCmndCC and it worked this time but is there a way to make it go across the bottom of the screen instead of just on the left side like the normal closed captioning does. I'll go back and look at the thread Captiv8R sent and see if I can do it.
Thanks,
Susan

Hi Susan
Indeed the workaround is described farther down in the thread. I'm unsure why, but there needs to be a bit of a delay before the action to reveal the CC is triggered. Otherwise you see the scrunchies.
Cheers... Rick

I tried adding a 0.1 blank slide and it still was scrunched.
