1. Re: Images blurry when I convert from InDesign to PDF
Stix Hart Aug 12, 2010 1:48 PM (in response to recyclingalt)You've probably scaled them too much by mistake in Photoshop. However rather than worrying about that, just place the originals in Indesign and scale them there, much better and faster, and as long as the originals aren't fuzzy, your prints or PDFs won't be either.
If they are that's another separate problem...

jenben1234 Aug 12, 2010 1:58 PM (in response to Stix Hart)I agree its much easier to crop and edit the picture inside InDesign then it is in Photoshop... Keeps the pictures more pure

doveika Dec 3, 2010 10:50 AM (in response to recyclingalt)hi i'm finding the same problem with blurry images in my pdfs when exporting from indesign... is there a quality or proxy setting i'm missing? my 72 dpi images have been scaled down in indesign vs. pshop so i'm wondering why i'm getting such poor quality on screen. let me know, thx.

P Spier Dec 3, 2010 11:09 AM (in response to doveika)What is the effective resolution in ID? How are you making the PDF (export or print), and what settings are you using?

doveika Dec 3, 2010 6:33 PM (in response to P Spier)i think i figured it out by boosting the dpi in export pdf settings. it seems to have done the trick. thanks for getting back to me, it was frustrating!
