Hi,

I'm using RoboHelp HTML version 8 (in the About RoboHelp  = 8.0.2.208).

When I generate a Single Source Layout - WebHelp .htm file (Appendix 1) the Search tab seems to have numbers added into it (Appendix 2)

Appendix 1

Xx_34.gif

Appendix 2

Xx_33.gif

I have tried putting these on the Stop List and have checked the Smart Index and can't see them as being entries anywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas on this or have you seen this yourself?

I have searched on the forums but have not found anything.

This seems to have been occurring in RoboHelp 7 and has never been addressed before.

I can remove the Search tab but our Product Managers want that functionality left in.

Any help appreciated.

In addition to what Peter offered, You may also have the "Section 508" option enabled. This will also cause the behavior you are citing.

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick,

Although this also was a helpful answer, changing the setting from Pure HTML to DHMTL in the wizard when you generate the WebHelp solved the issue which had been incorrectly documented in our handover manual for 'How to' in RoboHelp.

Thank you.
